"What exactly goes on during a feng shui consultation?" First, your consultant will sit down with you and ask you a series of questions about your home, your goals, your desires and intentions.  Then they will ask for a brief tour of the interior and exterior of your home.  As you walk through, they will continue asking questions, including things like, "How often is this particular room used?", or "What would you like to see change in this space?   Once they have a good sense of who you are, what you want, and what your home currently feels like, they will begin going room by room making suggestions and recommendations, (and of course, remarking on the good things you've already done!).  We will finish up with a brief summary noting the priorities of the changes.

"May I take notes?" Many people do take notes during the session, some will even audio or video tape it so they can remember everything! Some individuals or businesses would prefer a written analysis to be typed up and sent to them following the consultation. This will be provided for an additional fee.

"May I have my best friend there too?" You can invite anyone that you would like to join you on this journey.  The only recommendation is that you only include people who would not only be very supportive of your goals, but who also respect you enough to maintain confidentiality so that you can speak freely.

"Should I do anything to prepare for the consultation?" No, please don't.  It is so much better if your consultant can view your home exactly as it is on a regular basis.  Don't go to any trouble of cleaning up or rearranging in preparation for the visit.

"What does a typical consultation cost?"  The cost for a home consultation is $135 per hour and the average home takes approximately 2-2 1/2 hours. 

"What forms of payment do you accept?" Empress Feng Shui accepts cash, personal or business checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
